My attempt at combining classical, romantic, and contemporary eras of orchestral music, hardcore punk, metal, prog rock, and other tid bits.
This album used to be free but then I got greedy.
ALBUM REVIEWS:
What some people had to say about this album (note: this was before I changed my "stage name"...if that makes a difference to anyone):
"The mindset behind the experiment is so sophisticated that it almost traumatizes the listener experiencing the album."
-IDIOTEQ interview
www.idioteq.com/hardcore-punk-goes-orchestral-interview-luke-kelly
"It’s some seriously strange shit going on in this one."
-Lights Go Out zine (April 2015 issue)
"[In regards to the song - Concert Hall Circle Pit] Loving It! Kurt Weill meets The Clash."
-Someone who may or may not be a notable film composer

Some people I had to twist their arms into listening to it...
"...[T]here is a ginormous amount of substance and gritty beauty...Kelly seems to be able to lead you into the beautifully melodic just as easily as he can flip the switch into masterfully-controlled chaos."
-Sleeping Bag Studios
sleepingbagstudios.ca/luke-kelly-hooligans/
"Prepare to be taunted, pounded, hammered and hypnotized by gushes of symphonic orchestrations, syncopated percussion and intensely driven rhythms that twist and turn harder and quicker than a Charlotte Fury 325 rollercoaster. This is spectacular music-making, full of dramatic emotions and visions!"
-Jamsphere

"Anyone who is into punk rock will certainly love this, although the same probably can't be said for traditional orchestra music lovers."

released January 24, 2015
Please forgive any misspellings or grammatical errors.
As you may have guessed, the person responsible for the music, album artwork, and even this blurb is Lou Kelly. And when I say “responsible for the music,” I mean I haphazardly composed and produced (arranged/programmed, mixed, and “mastered”) from July 2014 to January 2015 (except for Brood Metal which was written and produced sometime in 2013 for the Samplephonics “Design a Genre” competition…which made nowhere near the top 10).
TRACK 5 - Thanks to adriancook for the title suggestion.
TRACK 6 - Years later, I added vocals to this track and developed it into a half-baked afterthought of a concept album (also titled Junk City).
You can find it here:
loukelly.bandcamp.com/album/junk-city
TRACK 7 - A fun bit of trivia: This was originally written to Machine Gun Kelly's isolated vocal track of the song "Hold On (Shut Up)."
If you're at all curious, you can listen to it here:

Also, the stripped rock band version of this track can be licensed over at:

Publisher's credit goes to Production Music Online or PMOL for its alternate title, "Off The Hook."
